Huawei Unveils the HUAWEI Pura X View, the World’s First Wide-Format Smartphone Designed for Immersive Content Viewing
Shenzhen, China – September 7, 2026 – Huawei today officially launched the HUAWEI Pura X View, the world’s first wide-format smartphone built around a new 16:9.5 display ratio. The device redefines the traditional smartphone screen by offering a wider, more immersive viewing area for video, reading, gaming, and mobile productivity.
The HUAWEI Pura X View features a 6.39-inch OLED wide-format display with a resolution of 2232 × 1320, a 120Hz refresh rate, 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and a peak brightness of 6500 nits. With ultra-narrow 1.05mm bezels on all four sides, the screen-to-body ratio reaches 96.1%, delivering a display area of 114.27cm²—larger than some 6.9-inch conventional smartphones.
Despite its expansive screen, the device remains slim and lightweight at just 6.68mm thick and 201g. It is powered by a 7000mAh battery, supporting long-lasting use for streaming, reading, gaming, and work on the go.
The HUAWEI Pura X View is powered by the Kirin 9030S chipset and runs HarmonyOS 7 out of the box. Huawei says the device achieves a 28% overall performance improvement through deep optimization across hardware, software, and cloud services. It also supports Huawei’s advanced memory management technology, allowing 12GB of RAM to deliver a smoother multitasking experience.
For imaging, the phone is equipped with Huawei’s XMAGE 200MP main camera, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3.7x optical zoom, an ultra-wide macro camera, and a second-generation Hongfeng true-color camera. It supports intelligent shooting features such as XMAGE Smart Capture, which helps users compose, edit, and enhance photos more easily.
Additional highlights include support for up to two physical SIM cards and two eSIM numbers, Beidou satellite messaging, IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance, and Kunlun Glass protection.
The HUAWEI Pura X View is available in four colors: Leap Red, Linen Grey, Zero White, and Midnight Black. It is offered in three storage configurations: 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, and 12GB+1TB.
