Huawei has officially announced that the Mate 90 series will be unveiled on October 1, 2026, with sales beginning at 12:08 Beijing time on the same day. 2, 22 The announcement comes after weeks of speculation and early offline store displays, positioning the lineup as one of Huawei’s most important flagship releases in recent years. 24, 25
The Mate 90 series is expected to include multiple models, covering a wide range of users from mainstream buyers to high-end photography enthusiasts. Reported variants include the Mate 90, Mate 90 Pro, Mate 90 Pro Max, a Pro Max Collector’s Edition, and the ultra-premium Mate 90 RS Ultimate Design. 2, 5 Huawei has already revealed the appearance of the Mate 90 Pro Max Collector’s Edition, which features a two-tone back panel and a distinctive green color option. 2, 22
The most closely watched upgrade is Huawei’s new Kirin chip platform. The Pro Max and RS models are expected to use the Kirin 9050 Pro, a flagship processor built around Huawei’s “Tao Law” logic-folding architecture.
